Graceland is licensed for 76 children. Our ratio is 1:8 for Preschool and 1:12 for School Age.

Graceland Preschool and BASP has several options available. We offer care to potty-trained children ages 3 and up. Our Before and After School Program is for children that attend Oxford Elementary. The bus picks up and drops off children right at our front doorstep In addition we offer a School-Age Summer Camp that includes many field trips and lots of fun

The Clear Creek Elementary School offers two pre-school programs for four 4 year olds through CCA Daycare. 1 All day Daycare from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Includes breakfast lunch and 2 snacks 2 Preschool only 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. Please call Jodie Scheetz at 828-1136 for more information.

The use of Developmentally Appropriate Practices in our program is key to enabling our children to become successful lifelong learners and members of society. In our early childhood setting we strive to provide activities which are both age appropriate and individually appropriate. We understand and keep in mind the typical sequence of development of children within an age span as we plan our environment and activities for our children. We also understand and keep in mind the individual uniqueness of each child as we plan experiences which match each child s developing abilities. The environment is designed to allow for participation by each child at his/her own individual developmental level. The staff act as facilitators in fostering each child s learning.

Allison has been a dedicated daycare provider since 1982. She has achieved a level 5 on the Iowa Quality Rating System QRS . The children in her care enjoy her large fenced yard and shaded play areas. They look forward to heading downstairs to the playroom to see what new toys experiences and activities Allison has prepared for them. She often takes the children on field trips and other outings. At this time Allison is taking 18 months old to 5 years children in her care. I will be having two openings coming up one coming up the end of May and one the middle of August.

We teach Spanish and Sign Language. We are handicapped accessible. We have 3 programs per year. Attending parent meetings are important for determining the direction of the school.
